About the Role
The Analyst program at WGS is designed for exceptional recent graduates who want to build a career at the intersection of Asia and global business. Over six months, you will work directly alongside our consulting team on live client engagements spanning market entry strategy, international expansion, and cross-cultural communication, gaining the depth of experience that only comes from real work, not simulations.
Strong performers will be invited to join WGS as Associate Consultants at the end of the program.
What You Will Do
- Support research and analysis across market entry, international expansion, and cross-border communication mandates
- Contribute to client deliverables including market assessments, positioning frameworks, communication strategies, and commercial recommendations
- Assist in managing partner and client communications across cultures and time zones
- Participate in business development and client engagement activities
- Develop a working knowledge of Japan and Korea's business landscape across key industries
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Business, International Relations, Economics, Communications, or a related field
- Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical and written communication skills
- Genuine interest in Asian markets, cross-border business, and international strategy
- Ability to work in Tokyo for the duration of the program
Preferred
- Master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification
- Japanese or Korean language skills, at any level
- Prior academic or professional exposure to Asian markets or international business
- Experience living or studying abroad
- Second European or Asian language
